Meh-Mani’s hero flees his town to a village, to a secluded community, to teach there at school. The villagers, however, repudiate the strange teacher. The closed-minded people feel obliged to resist novelties and oddities, to reject the unknowns and uncertainties. For them, the other echoes threat. Thus they seek survival through eliminating and denying the other. But the teacher resists and there begin difficulties, most daunting of which — his love for a woman — decides the fate of the drama...
